Happy Hour(s)

Happy Birthday to me! If I could have, I would have had my very own pirate birthday party today but there was no time for that with all the other socialising we were doing.

First off, our neighbour's daughter's 7th birthday party at soft play. I'd never been to soft play on a Saturday and it was Rob's first experience. With 100+ children running around at breakneck speed, screeching and screaming, even Miss A and Little D looked a little overwhelmed. We thought we might be able to leave the kids at the party and nip out for a little lunch of our own but Little D was insistent on our presence so our quiet lunch plan went out the window.

Then it was home, where Grandma and Grandad popped in to sing Happy Birthday, bringing along a delicious home made cake.

Cake scoffed it was then time to get ready for the annual girls' Christmas night out. Although George Street would not be my first choice location for eating/drinking it was all about the company and you could not ask for lovlier ladies to spend time with. After a 3 course meal we ended up in a heaving bar, drinking cocktails til late. On leaving we had a half hour wait for a taxi so, having worked up an appetite with all the drinking, we popped into Bar Napoli for a quick pizza and last glass of wine before hometime. A perfect end to the day!
