Baa humbug

Nathaniel at almost 5 is mad about football and an avid Newcastle United fan. So I have made his hat using left over black and white from the hats I made for the other three. His Dad, from the south, calls the fans in the Newcastle shirts humbugs.

Mr C went to Alnwick and got the last 2 bottles of Aldi champagne. He also got a couple of kilos of venison from the local butcher - I don’t cook meat and rarely eat it, but I felt I owe friends a good meal. They have been so kind in having us round when I could barely stand up, so I’m slow cooking it in Guinness from a Delia recipe on Thursday. She never goes wrong.
