This is the only picture that I took today - but it has come in very useful.

I was changing the battery in a wrist watch. I thought the hard bit was to get the back off the watch so that I could prise out the battery - but that was quite easy compared with the next step. 

You have to be able to see the serial number on the battery so that you can replace it with the right one.  The battery is only 5mms across and - try as I might - I just couldn't read the tiny numbers.  Then I had the brainwave of taking a macro picture of it and letting the camera do the focusing.  It worked a treat.

But really, don't you just hate the ageing process that makes things you used to take for granted, such a challenge ………………………?
