parrot and paws

An absolute scorcher today, so after school junior and I spend a couple of hours by my folks' pool. He spending most of the time underwater or rescuing bees and me in the shade dabbling toes (still a tad cold for me, water wise.)

Parrots were hanging out in the bird bath and drying off on the clump of kangaroo paws and Mum tells me on a quiet (ie no splish splashing junior) afternoon,the kookaburras gather in the eucalypt and dive bomb the pool, skimming and fluffing feathers.

I REALLY want to see that.
