I love the idea of being self sufficient and living a 'Good Life' type of existence but the reality falls far short of the idea.

Saw this in a local newsagent at a bargain price and much inspired went out and watered the veggie patch and raised garden bed and eyeballed the chook yard with makeover potential.
Fantastic ideas with everything from straw bale building, selecting the right pig for your back yard, skinning and jointing a rabbit, gathering and storing seeds for the next planting, oh and building a waterwheel.
