childlike joy
i enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the flat. i watched sarah cut and organize the preparatory materials for fajitas. for at least 2 hours. i found it incredibly soothing. it was such an extended process, but it was neat, orderly, and calming. we talked the whole time as well, which was a great delight. i like her mind and her wisdom.
then i went to an irish pub to watch the rugby six nations. france versus scotland. unfortunately, france won. halfway through the second game, the pub was hot and crowded. my friend spencer and i left to enjoy some fresh air.
and a zipline.
this photo is spencer on the zipline. you cant see him, hes a blur - he is moving too fast. but i love the lights. i just love the way it looks.
it was a little bit terrifying, especially since i was encouraged to go first. seems rude really. i felt like i was hanging out with my brothers again and we were kids. and my brothers ensured me it was "safe." in reality, they wanted me to be the first, to see how one would fare. i fared well. it was fun. and cold. oh so cold.
to warm ourselves we got the u-bahn. any u-bahn. to anywhere. it didnt matter. we just needed a little relief from the piercing cold. we consequently ended up outside the church previously photographed in west berlin.
i like to wander.
