Today's the day ………………………. for roof ornaments

I'm pleased to tell you that in buying our new house, we became the proud owners of this weathervane - or to be precise - weathercock.  Not only that, we also have several finials (see extra) on the roof above the gable windows. 

There's nothing like a bit of roof ornamentation to make you feel a cut above …………………………….
