Hidden by the rain

Went to the inpatient unit this morning to join the senior staff at the meeting where they discuss how to provide the best care in what are often difficult circumstances. The big issue today was aggressive behaviour by a couple of the young men, and the impact that has on their care and that of others. It’s never easy, but even more so when illness coexists with life experiences and substance use. Later, I needed to write a succinct and non hyperbolic briefing paper for the CEO.

Got away mid afternoon to help J with some shifting things around before we all come to hers for a family Christmas. Unfortunately, what she really wanted to take from her office near Symonds Street to Glen Eden, wouldn’t fit in my car, so stayed in the central city.
