Merry Christmas
What a great day.
CyclopsJnr slept until 7:45 (hurrah from parents!) and was delighted with the contents of his stocking and his gift from Santa. He had asked for some "Lego Jurassic World" and got TWO sets! He made one pretty quickly.
Granny and Grandpa came round in the morning, as did Uncles N & K, for a big present exchange. CyclopsJnr came out of that with some fab games and a Lego aeroplane. He also got a Playmobil ambulance from his parents, and invented lots of desperate emergencies for it to respond to.
After a big lunch and a nap, he found a mini air hockey table from Granny and Grandpa had arrived, and after a surfeit of exciting games he sat down and made his Lego aeroplane - about an hour of hard concentration - on Christmas day! So impressed.
He stayed up for dinner with the grownups and scarfed down his dinner (sprouts enthusiastically consumed first), then sat and watched Tom and Jerry Robin Hood (another gift) while the grownups had dessert. Stories from Granny, Grandpa, Mum and Dad before bed, and one tired happy child settled down nicely for the night.
The last thing he said before sleeping was "Tomorrow can I make my other Lego Jurassic World with you and mummy. We can all the family make it together". No problem son.
He's been so excited all day, but such a good boy that everyone is very proud of him. He's been really especially good at saying "thank you" too - often going back to people several times (hours after receiving a gift) with cuddles and smiles. He'll go far...
