Who’d be a Turkey at Christmas?

On our own this Christmas (with Elvis of course). Managed to get calls in to the whole family, never the same as being with them all, but they are off with other relatives, in-laws, soon-to-be-In-laws and/or having quiet new family time. So, with the garden produce front and centre (see extra pic of the Picasso Potatoes and the sprouts from our garden this year, we sat down to a French Turkey (was far better than we had been told it would be). Made three different stuffings, Herb, sausage and herb, plus just sausage. I opened a very nice Graves, while Mrs SoL worked her way though a bottle of Veuve Clicquot. Not much achieved after the very good Queen’s Speech this year (didn’t she do well), so it was TV and rest. The evening saw the arrival of the Christmas Pudding with home-made Brandy Butter. Now, where should I hide the bathroom scales?
