Boxing Day walk

Boxing day...traditionally a day of eating leftovers and doing the Boxing Day walk. We planned to go for our walk before lunch with Murdoch and then take him to the kennels in the afternoon. Luckily on the off chance, Gavin checked the kennels opening hours, and we found out that Murdoch had to be dropped off by mid morning, so that changed our plans somewhat. We ended up going for our walk after Murdoch had been taken to kennels, which seemed a bit strange to be walking without him. However he loves the kennels he goes to and always runs in without so much as a backward glance!

It has been so mild, it was a very pleasant walk. Everyone stripped off their jackets as we got so warm.

Sadly we took the Christmas tree down today - we leave for Switzerland tomorrow morning and are only getting back on the 5th, and I did not want to be coming home to a half-dead Christmas tree. It has been a day of chores - laundry, changing bedding, and now I must go pack. Luckily leftovers meant I did not have to cook today!
