Shadows in the Woodland Glade

In fact, this glade is just a little path in our local park. But the bright wintry sun, and sharp and long shadows, give a romantic aspect to the scene.

Elsewhere in the park, the lighting also gave contrasty images.

But the trees are bare now. I think, though, that the denuded trees allow a better view of how the park has been laid out, as in this scene of the avenue near the railway enclosure.
