Half-metre sausage!

Back in Mainz in preparation for our evening flight back to the UK, we set out on concentrated tourism, following the numbered points on a tourist leaflet. The main targets were the Dom (Cathedral) and the Altstadt. It wasn't long before we came on the Christmas Market yet again. It was here that these extraordinarily long sausages were on sale.

Frames 83–97 of the "German Collection" record this part of the journey.

We did not eat this sausage, rather, we made our way to the warm (it was a cold day) AugustinerKeller on the edge of the old city. Mrs S had Hirschragout with dumplings, while I ate a wonderfully crispy Schweinehaxe.
