Chester shares a secret...

Dear Diary,

I got lots of lovely gifts this Christmas and these are two of my favorites, little Chester the Chipmunk and the book The Hidden Life of Trees.  It is a special illustrated volume filled with beautiful forest imagery.  Chester is explaining to Emerson all the things that go on under the ground out of human and cat sight. He, of course, is an expert on underground tunnels so he is well versed in the subject.  It is a fascinating read and I really recommend it.

It is snowing lightly this morning but it is not supposed to amount to much.  We'll see.  Henry is anxiously looking out the window right now; he is itching to try out his new skis!
