Just Like Old Times
Except that it’s a Wednesday instead of Sunday we slipped back to the old routine. Joshua had a customary pre rugby bacon sandwich and along with Samantha we headed off to Penryn Rugby Club where Joshua was playing for the 2nd XV.
For a club that cannot find fifteen guys for their second string on any given Saturday Penryn managed to drum up 29 for today, one short of two full teams, relay rugby was their routine for today. Added to that there is something unwelcoming about their clubhouse and the reception visitors receive but that atmosphere might just be for local rivals.
A quick post match lasagne for Josh and we headed off back to Falmouth for the 1st XV match, full blooded, it finished at 19 a piece.
The strange part, reinforcing earlier perceptions, not a single Penryn player entered the clubhouse afterwards for food, beer or even the normal post match banter.
A few beers and home for something to eat before dozing in the chair until Clare came home.
Josh went off down town with his mates Sam is well into her Lino cutting.
