Christmas at Kew

Took mum and dad to see the light installations at Kew Gardens. We are usually relatively lucky with the variables that can make a night successful or crap however tonight luck was not completely on our side.

To be fair we fluked a wicked parking space against all odds but then the heavens opened and we were walking round Kew in the freezing cold driving rain, every installation reduced to a watery blur through our drenched glasses. We were soaked but soldiered on.

We steamed up as we entered the humid shop where everyone was drying out. We bought some cinnamon Xmas decs and some lemon sherbert sweets to keep us going.

Eventually the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy the rest of the trail (additional pics attached). The installations were in fact brilliant.

A proper sausage hotdog and mugs of hot chocolate thawed us out before we headed back to the car.

It was actually a good night, but a clear, dry night would have been much appreciated.
