twinned with trumpton

A little gap filling in; not been the easiest 2nd half of December; there are photos but I'll do the narrative over a couple of entries and leave it at that.

Chistmas was always going to be a fun filled adventure. The Spanish brother got the keys for his new flat on 21st - I got the task of getting them from the solicitors the day before they arrived en masse from Valencia; and headed straight there to do things like meter readings and send a list of thigns required and meet the old man there - he was dropping a off a table. Oh and let in Sainsbury's who were doing a home shop. The Friday was mad; school drop; overtime; the above and then before we met 'her' for dinner at Hanam's I still managed to look at new stereo / music playing systems (the blank look at streaming and hard drives and blue tooth means there's much work to do), a dander into the art supplies shop and a quick swing through the supermarket.

An enjoyable drawing of breath over dinner, and then away home to get up early for Saturday....

So Saturday - up early to help her round up necessities from M&S; we were there around 8; dropped everything back to hers and was off down to meet the Spaniard contingent off the airport bus for 10. They duly arrived and we plodded off down Market St and for the first time they actually saw the flat. (Extra is them all outside the door)

An hour or so of discussing the things I'd found out and sorting out the keys and I left them to it. They were due to spand the day cleaning and making beds and then out to sift through the 2nd furniture shops of Leith Walk.

I made for Stockbridge and nabbed a partridge and some other bits for Paw (having failed to make it to George Bowers on Friday). Then I gathered bits before heading home to start on my Christmas clean up.

After a while, I drew a line under it and went back up town; dropped the partridge (they were off to see the parents on Sunday and were able to transport the cargo) and up to hers for dinner.  And breath. Kind of... Still feeling rubbish, flu symptoms, coughing like f, spliting headache.

Waiting for the bro and family to arrive from the airport
