again..... sorry folks but I'm not getting out much lately ;)  I bought a Shark cordless vacuum cleaner in the sales just after Christmas and at the moment it's in the kitchen until I decide where I'm going to keep it.  I'm very pleased with it so far.  I had a very heavy Miele upright which would always keel over and bash me in the legs not to mention nearly falling down the stairs with it whilst trying to counterbalance it's bulk!  The shark needs to be stored "folded" and is very lightweight which Lucy found out as she managed to push it up and down the kitchen.   Poor Little B is even more terrified of this one than the Miele for some reason..... it's quieter ..... but has lights.
