NYE - the 9 pm session

The gang went to Goat Island this year to watch the NYE fireworks.  You can see how close the barge is to the island and you can feel the power of the fireworks as they are let off not to mention hear the wizzers and whooshes.  You self cater on Goat Island, there is not much shelter and you are quite open to the elements.  It was quite something to see mother natures lightning show before the fireworks.  We all got very wet but I can report not as wet as at the Cat Stevens concert.  It did pretty much stop raining for both the 9 pm session and also the midnight show.

Very  much a tradition for Sydney siders to watch the fireworks.
