Last walk of 2018

My collage is a few glimpses of Eynsford where we walked today from home.

It has been very dry and less muddy than on previous walks. We had a few drinks at The Plough relaxing by their log fire. We toasted in the upcoming new year with Martini Pornstar cocktails before returning home after dusk and arrived hone in the dark. We are getting used to crossing fields by moonlight.

On a sadder note, today we said goodbye to our funky cockeral Bruno Mars. We knew he was nearing the end of his life as over the past week or so he showed signs of old age and less mobility. Last night I put him into a hutch and tucked him up with straw. He fell asleep and didn't wake up. He was a rescued rooster so we do not know his exact age but he had been with us for about ten years. He was such a character and he will be missed. (I blipped him on Dec 14th).

Tonight we are celebrating the new year at home, just the two of us and the champagne is on ice waiting.

I wish everyone in the Blip community a Very Happy New Year and a very healthy 2019.
