Some Color on a Dreary Day

It was one of those days that I used to detest as a mailman. 36F (3C) and a rain that just wouldn't stop. Back in the day, you would get wet in a hurry, and then you would be cold all day.

I called Shelley (Naturelover), who is on the road with Al...and we celebrated the fact that we weren't out pounding the pavement.

I spent the day packing for our upcoming trip, with a couple of football games in the background. Our Michigan State Spartans lost to the Oregon Ducks 7-6 in a bowl game that should have been called The Yawn Bowl. It was awful. The most exciting players on both teams were the punters.

For the 1st time in eight years, we are spending New Years Eve without Merrick. They are going to a neighborhood party where the kids are invited, so he'll be celebrating the holiday with mom and dad. But, we do have his trusty dog Charley.

So...raising a glass of Diet Coke...HAPPY NEW YEAR!
