good luck and prosperity

Last day of 2018. Some tidying, then a stroll into town to buy last minute supplies. As a slight variation we had dal for dinner. The shape is what matters. Watched Dinner for One and even Rowan giggled occasionally. We could see the fireworks from our living room. They were well impressive.

My alternative image (see extra) is probably a better reflection of my attitude to 2018. Personally we can't complain at all. Things are going well and we are all fit and healthy. However the stuff thrown at us on a national and international level is just crazy. 2018 has been a year of protest, anti Brexit and pro science demonstrations and 2 weeks of striking to defend our pensions. It seems our political leaders are out to get us. So, I am looking forward to 2019. There will be some resolutions and I hope sanity will prevail.
