Obscene

I was up pretty late last night catching up with the latest Vic & Bob episodes, but even so I woke up early and was out by 9.30 on the bike whilst the rest of the house slept. Nowt big or clever but some decent miles on some very quiet country roads, and at one point I just dawdled along whilst I looked across the fields to the hills, enjoyed the sun and blue skies, and generally just took it all in and felt quite at peace with everything.

Before getting home and cooking up the traditional New Year's Day fry-up, heading out again later on to see the first movie of the year, a teatime screening of The Favourite. That's the one with the "cheerfully obscene script" according to The Guardian. I'd go along with that! Quite liberal in its sprinkling of certain words it was. I really liked it - the film that is, not just the words.
