Grass

This is a desperation blip. I was too tired to put much effort into getting a blip. Grass has been my preoccupation because I had to mow the lawns today, for the first time in years. I always used to mow them myself, but as I became more feeble my son gradually took over the job. However, he is away on holiday. Fortunately his mower works on battery and starts easily. Today was hot with dry grass from overnight. Perfect for mowing. Still, it was long and thick as a result of all the rain we’ve had, and heavy going. It took all day, with all the rests. Normally at this time of year there would be only slight growth, if any at all.

I now have countless tender and achy places.
