NYE

The kids were packed off to their cousins house for some kid friendly NYE celebrations whilst James and I packed our bags and hopped on the train to London. We were lucky enough to join the another 40,000 people to watch the fireworks from Victoria Embankment.

We had tapas for tea at lovely authentic restaurant near our hotel and then made our way round to Leicester Square. We marvelled at the Christmas lights, drank our way around the market and enjoyed the street entertainment. We then made our way over to Westminster and joined the crowds ready for the big moment. The fireworks definitely didn’t disappoint. They were amazing! The atmosphere was electric. And we were both very drunk!

We got lost on the way back to the hotel...we decided to walk as we were in search of kebab and chips! At 2am we collapsed into bed. What a fantastic day!
