Trick of the light

What a flat still grey day its turned out to be!

Slept pretty well, woke just after 8 but dozed, then woke again and thought it was only just coming light, but it was 9.20!!!

We had a list of things we wanted to get done today, so once we shaped ourselves we got on with them.

We walked into town, got a few things we needed, including fruit and veg, then we called into Reds Cafe, our first visit of the year, lovely coffee and brunch. Once refuelled it was a brisk walk home, bags were heavy, do a few more calories burnt off hopefully, and 7k steps.

Next it was dismantling all the christmas decorations, hub did outside, whilst I did inside. Its all back to normal now. Its had a good dust and vacuum through so is looking nice and "back to normal" :-)

We popped out for an hour before the light faded, so I could get my blip.......just around one of the ponds, the light looks lovely, but it wasn't the sun, just the colour of those reeds picking up the light!! Its been cold again, but dry, which is always a bonus :-)

We are having grilled halloumi with green chilli, roasted beetroots and salad for dinner , a bit of a concoction, but I'm sure it will be tasty ;-)

I have a couple of things to do on the laptop so best go get on with that now.........
