Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep

Well we didnt start the new year with a win at the quiz.....fourth spot, but a good score, and we had fun :-)

We are both feeling much better now, although we were both awake for a couple of hours during the night, at different times....so an early night beckons tonight.

After breakfast I put some laundry on, then we took a trip to the big M&S retail park as I wanted a couple of jumpers, thought I might find some in the Sale! I got some new jeggings, 3 tops, none of them jumpers :-/
I have never seen such a pile of rubbish.......I swear half the stuff that was in the sale wasnt in the shops pre Xmas, dont know where they get it all from :-/??? There was literally rail after rail in Ladieswear, whereas Hub didnt find a solitary thing in Menswear.....I dread to think what happens to it all, as I cant imagine they sell even 25% of it!

We decided to treat ourselves to M & S sandwiches for lunch, a bit lazy I know, but they are very nice ;-) The afternoon has been spent taking down the tree, decorations, lights inside and out, all boxed up and back in the loft now. I noticed quite a few birds flitting around in the garden this afternoon. We have several pairs of Long Tail Tits, which I just love, so I broke off from the tree and took myself into the garden, stealth like (ha!)
and managed to fire off 3/4 shots.......this is the best but not pin sharp sadly:-(

We walked into town for a 5pm appointment at the GP for hub to get his blood test results, more or less in and out in15 minutes, all Ok, clean bill of health for him, happy bunny ;-)

Dinner was pan fried haddock, fresh peas, asparagus, cherry tomatoes and we shared an oven cooked jacket potato....... which we really enjoyed after all the heavier food of late.

Think the evenings is going to be a lazy one in front of the tv....hope you all have a good weekend :-)
