I'll Drink To That
Toronto's a sophisticated, multi-cultural city with a song for everyone, no matter their musical taste. And the subway provides a great showcase for the variety of sounds. We've got solitary rockstars-in-waiting, drummers hammering like demented cobblers, and folk singers in stoned abundance. We've got sitar players and boys with banjos. And we have a solitary harpist providing sweet Irish lilts for the passing crowds, some of whom are entranced but others slightly wary of the man and his fearsome musical machine. I love the harp. It looks remarkably like the logo on the cans of my favourite brew. Jools says it sounds like me after imbibing too many of them . . .
