Heidelberg

Today was our Christmas present from daughter#2 and her boyfriend - a visit to Heidelberg, with a hotel stay and a steak dinner. I was still struggling a bit with my bug, but we still managed to have a 'fun' day as it was advertised!

We traveled up to the castle by funicular. It was very, very cold, though I think I was feeling it more than the others. Very interesting castle, including a super museum of pharmacy.

We managed to get a taxi back to the hotel, with time to have a little rest before the short walk to the steak restaurant (Heid's). We don't have steak very often and I think it was the best steak I have ever had in my life. It came from Australia, from an award winning farm. Sorry to all you vegans and vegetarians out there, but it was wonderful.
