Nor wishing to be outdone by Gloria Patricia I visited Waterstones  today and browsed their great selection of books.

And there it was. Another annual style book featuring our possible next prime minister. I am surprised there are no tomes showcasing the current UK "head of state" as surely she is an illustrator/animator /cartoonists' piece of heaven.

No comments  on her latest "Just in case we leave with no deal " expenditure of sending 89 lorries up a motorway to Dover to create a fake traffic jam, and giving each one £550. Imagine haulage companies like Eddie Stobart being paid to advertise on prime time TV.

This farce has cost the British taxpayer £48950 but it's a drop in the ocean compared to the billions being spent on leaving the EU.

Thank goodness we can immerse ourselves in a good read and ignore what is going on around us. After all, whatever we do or say, seems to make no difference.
