almost here!

My new bike should be here by the time I get in the house. Super, super, super excited!!

Feeling a wee bit tired today. I was out at a retirement party in 29 Royal Exchange Square, a private members club in Glasgow. It was a fantastic evening in great company. I took the car and left just after 2300 so was home at quite a reasonable time. It was really weird to wake up on the morning after a coalface night out without a raging hangover. Could fair get into this teetotal lifestyle.

So this morning was my first long run with the lovely Lynne with whom I will be running the Notorious Night Run. She is training to run a marathon so she provided an awesome benchmark not only to how far I have to go but also to how far I have come on my journey. I have to say that it was probably the best run I have ever had. So nice to have some company and to show somebody else my favourite route. Seems that I am not the solitary creature that I believed I was as I do not think that I have ever smiled when out by myself, not because I don't enjoy it but because it is always so serious - what is my pace? Am I running a negative split? How far have I run? Seems that running with my amiga provides lots of Mileage with Smileage
