Bridging nore gaps

This bridge stretches three ways over the river Irwell between the ever rival sister cities of Manchester and Salford. It was designed by Catalan architect Santiago Calatrava and is up to now the only finished work in Britain. This was meant to be a picture of the building known as the filing cabinet, but on the way back from Rollers pizza with a friend, my eye was drawn to the lines and my brain started singing yellow brick road. The crane also reminded me of a giraffe. It looks like the start of an adventure rather than the route back to work. Filing cabinet another day.
