5000 years ago

Some 5000 years ago, about the time that Khufu and Cheops were busy building Pyramids on the Giza Plateau, the Scots were busy designing and building stone circles. Many survive to this day despite the ravages of time.
In summer Loanhead of Daviot Stone Circle has quite an eerie atmosphere about it. Something to do with the cremations I suppose. On a frosty winter December afternoon it has a completely different feel. Almost as if it is waiting to see if the Mayan's were right.
