Vantage point
Out early this morning.......Id been awake from 7ish, heard lots of "windscreen scraping", so knew it was frosty, as forecast.
We drove to Leigh so we could park and catch the V1 guided bus into Manchester. The service is called Vantage and we sat upstairs in the front seats, so had a great view, as you can see from my blip. The journey is half on a guided track, as can be seen here, and the latter half on the main roads, via a bus lane, resulting in a swift journey into Manchester of around 45/50 minutes, for £5 return. Lovely seats with tables upstairs, just like the train, free wifi, what more could you want ;-)
If you look a little closer at the cloud formations, you might just spot two ethereal looking beings.........:-D
The trip into Manchester was for our annual lunch with ex work colleagues.....a leisurely 4 hours. A nice walk before lunch, I bought some new Gym gear whilst we were in town.
I tried to eat wisely, mash instead of chips, ditched the pastry off my steak pie, and the crumble topping off my apple and blackberries, had two slimline tonics, so overall feeling relatively pleased with myself
;-))
