Tree Dressing

As part of our mid-winter cultural festivals event, our school team (house) had a tree-dressing event today.
The children wrote their wishes on these leaves, made paper lanterns, then bedecked trees with these objects and cloth ribbons. A poem was read in the winter sunshine as we watched the objects flutter.
It was surprisingly moving.
