And So It Begins

A fine morning, blue skies and sunny.  Clouded over in the afternoon, and a breeze picked.  A breezy but dry evening. 

Another day working on the museum desk.  It's been another quiet day, but there's always plenty to keep me busy.  I finished off the last of the props this evening, and also finished off my weekend costume.  Final squad meeting with the boys, and all went great.  

This evening is the start of the Viking season, Up Helly Aa's for the next few months.  This year's guizer Jarl named this year's galley, followed by a good few drams and some tunes.  Tonight will be followed by the official Scalloway Fire Festival tomorrow, and the Hop Day on Saturday.  Lots of memories flooding back from me in the Jarl Squad last year.  Hope everyone has a superb weekend.  L-R- Adam Priest, Michael Irvine, Liam Brannon, Stuart Grains and Ryan Cooper.  Taken in the Galley Shed, Scalloway.
