Sitting on the Wall.
Another day, another digger – though I don’t think this is part of a building site. The land behind is part of a nursery which includes the walled garden just out of sight behind the cottage. Some fifteen years ago, the proprietor of the business gave up keeping bees at the back of the nursery and I asked if I could make use of his site for my own bees. He said that he was intending to re-stock his hives but never did, so I assumed he was just trying to politely put me off but it was his business and I quite understood his reticence.
I assume the wire cage enclosing the rocks is to form part of a wall that will be faced with more conventional stone work to make the business premises more secure and hope that it has nothing to do with the new build houses that will eventually go up within a hundred yards of the Blip.
