Snow Chaos

We have had more snow in the last week than is normal in the whole of January. There is snow chaos throughout Europe and alps have a red alert for avalanches. Some villages are snowed in without supplies. Many ski resorts are closed. It is still snowing here - we are lucky to be in an area where the snowfall is not so extreme. 
Today was a lovely (cold) sunny day then it started snowing again after I decided to go for a walk. It was lovely in the forest but the wind flung stinging snow needles in my face when I got to the alley. I opted for the short walk although it was good to get out in the fresh air.
