East Farleigh Bridge
We took a Doreen for for her first session at the Memory Clinic this morning. While she was there we went for a walk around Barming and the River Medway between Barming and Teston (pronounced Teeson). We’ve not walked in this area very often and it was a pleasure to walk on the newly completed riverside walk.
We had enough time to call in at the Blackthorn Trust before collecting Doreen where w enjoyed a coffee and scone.
Today’s blip is of East Farleigh Bridge across the Medway. According to ‘tintetnet this is a medieval bridge, built in the 14th C and is regarded as one of the finest medieval bridges in southern England. Remarkable that the bridge is still fulfilling the same role as the year it was built. There’s value for money for you.
Today was my mother’s birthday. Had she still been with us she’d have been 93 today. Time has flown since she died in 2003.
