The View from Stone St

This is not the usual view of Wanaka that fills the post cards and tourist brochures but in the late afternoon light it can present a different perspective.
It's been a funny weather day today as it has been raining off and on all day and I confess to being a bit in the "party recovery" mode after last night's shindig. If you were an early visitor to our journal last night I must report that after quite a bit of boisterous discussion the image got changed to mono and improved I recon. By the time The Boss posted it last night he was probably not in a good state to be in control of a complicated device. NO NO NO Not the Bossess, his PC. Anyway go take a look and report back. It's good to have your support in these delicate matters.

BREAKING K9 NEWS!!!

The New Zealand SPCA has been running a promotion to encourage rescue of abandoned dogs by showing that pound dogs are just a bright or even brighter than expensive breeds and has been teaching 3 dogs to drive cars. YES it's true. They (the 3 dogs) were on TV tonight wearing ties and looked smarter than The Boss who never wears a tie. You can check this out here.
The Boss is happy to let me sit in the passenger seat in Suzz on special occasions but actually driving. Hmmmmm?

Special greetings to the 3 lovely lasses from the Marlbourgh Camera Club who dropped in this morning to get directions to the top photographic spots as featured in Tussock tales. I really liked them as between taking copious notes of directions and devouring all the chocolate biscuits, they happily played with me as well and in recognition of this I stopped The Boss from blipping the RED STRIPED SOX. Your secret is safe with me.
Oh have I mentioned cheese? Oh well perhaps not.

The image was shot from the top of Stone St and points towards the wonderful lighting going on with Mt Burke. Wanaka is really is a pretty little place to live at any time of the year.

Is it a Bird? Is it a Plane?....No it's the L key
