California Dreaming

No I was not asleep. I was sitting right where The Boss wanted me and I even stayed put for the requisite number of clunks from his camera before going off to explore. This is the site of a large scale mining operation back in the early days of Otago but it is now a grrreat walking area and magnet for California Poppies and Thyme in December and where we headed after The Boss and My friend Peter had finished with their visit to Shep. Shep is a wood carver of considerable skill and has recently moved to Cromwell from Wanaka and todays trip was to catch up and discuss some technology things with their "his and hers" iPads. I think there used to be a laptop somewhere in the mix but they don't use it much now.
Some years ago we used to have 2 very old and beautiful English Lime trees on our property but we discovered that one of them was hollow and besides being a large apartment building for the local birds (feathered) was in danger of falling over so it was reluctantly felled and the wood was given to Shep to do his thing with. He certainly has and had fabulous work in progress pieces in his new workshop. My friend Peter even put his glasses on to inspect them more closely and THAT is not a common occurrence, says The Boss.

For the international folk Cromwell is a growing township about 30 minutes from Wanaka where there is plenty of room for growth and property prices are a lot lower than Wanaka. It has a fabulous Lake Dunston, created some years ago by a large Hydro Electricity scheme and photographic delights that attract The Boss on occasions like today. He has blipped from this area before as you probably have noticed.
Gotta go now as The Boss is in the Christmas mode and printing pictures of ME to put in Christmas present photo frames. It is really exciting to be framed this way and I must speak to my lawyer Allison about Royalties and IP issues. The Boss says that Dogs, not having much intellectual ability in the first place should not be worried about this BUT I point to yesterday's revealing news and look to my lawyer for guidance.
WOOF?
Yes WOOF!!!
