Witch Hazel

A witch hazel plant was planted in my new garden a couple of months ago and it has just come into bloom. I love the frilly red flowers, it's a great bit of winter colour and they looked particularly good this morning with the sun shining on them. 

The garden is very bare after the landscaping work (although the bulb shoots are growing well) but this will hopefully improve as the year progresses.
