Day 30. Our first month in Nepal.

Today we are celebrating our first month in Nepal. I did not have any doubt that we will enjoy our time in Nepal, however, we have had to face with unexpected challenges like: street dogs, monkeys, rabies, crowded buses and electricity cuts.
This morning when we were living our house, an expected big german Shepherd called Rocky ran out of his house to catch a small cat. We were petrified for a seconds but then ran as quick as posible to our home again and lock the door , after few seconds the little cat was following us too. It took us few moments to recover and felt brave enough again to go out again. However, as a sign sent by Buddha, Shiva, Keli or any other Nepali god or goddess to us, we saw this little puppy in the shelf on the bus in our way home . It was so cute and sweet and our love to dogs restart again...

Highlights of the month:
1. A very happy and interesting first month in Nepal.
2. We have made some achievements: we got a long term home, have some new Nepalese and Tibetans friends, we have been working at DidiBahini, we have learnt how to cook momos and thukpa, we have been reading lots, we know more about Nepal and its women and...
3. We have baked a chocolate cake without an oven :-)

Hoy estamos celebrando nuestro primer mes en Nepal. Yo no tenía ninguna duda de que vamos a disfrutar de nuestra estancia en Nepal, sin embargo, hemos tenido que hacer enfrentar algunos retos inesperados como: perros callejeros, monos, rabia, autobuses atestados y los cortes de electricidad.
Por ejemplo, esta mañana, cuando estábamos saliendo de nuestra casa, un pastor alemán grandisimo llamado Rocky salió corriendo de su casa para cazar un gato pequeño. Quedamos petrificados por unos segundos, pero luego corrimos a la casa tan rápido como fue posible y cerramos la puerta, después de unos segundos, el pequeño gato nos estaba seguiendo. Nos tomó unos minutos recuperarnos y ser valientes otra vez para salir de nuevo. Sin embargo, como una señal enviada por Buda, Shiva, keli o cualquier otro dios o diosa nepali , vimos este pequeño cachorro en el estante del bus que cogimos para la casa. Era tan lindo y dulce que nuestro amor a los perros a volvio a reaparecer de nuevo...
