Men at work

‘‘Twas on the Monday morning, that the road men came to call....

That would be two Mondays before Christmas. They left today. In between they resurfaced the pavement on the Eastern side of our road. Perhaps a hundred metres or so, or somewhat less.

They were a likeable lot and very considerate. By modern standards they did a good job. Better still, not one of them mentioned Brexit once. On that basis, they’d be welcome back any time.
