A trip to Sheffield

Today was the 3rd anniversary of my dads death and I didn’t want mum to be at home on her own so we had an overnight trip to Sheffield. Mums birthplace and “home” to us all over the years visiting grandparents, it was a trip down memory lane. Sheffield has changed so much and the building transformation continues.
We met Kate for lunch, wandered round the shops, and went to see the Bohemian Rhapsody film. Queen we’re one of dads favourite bands, and what a great film. This was followed by an Italian dinner and nightcap and cheeseboard in the hotel. All in all a good day, and mum at 82 is still fit and well and takes each day it comes, always looking for the positive.
