What a fabulous day out, and I've eaten far too much!  Team Away Day -

Walk to the station - approximately 35/40 minutes  - in beautiful sunshine, though icy cold :)

Meet in Reading for Breakfast at a very reasonable 10am
Ice breaker quiz to start us off
Then a bit of a walk across the centre of the town to an 'Escape' Room' 
(if you're not sure what it is look up 'Escape Room'). 

I have certainly never done anything like this before.  It was brilliant fun, trying to solve puzzles and quizzes in a room (we were not locked in and our 'gamesmaster' was outside) - one puzzle might open a door into another room or there was one where we had to put the clocks right and then work out puzzles involving anagrams which led to another puzzle) :)

After an hour in there, we gathered for group photos - sorry I can't share here and then went to The London Brasserie for lunch on the Company - a three course dinner.  I had Chargrilled cauliflower. Blistered cherry tomatoes, baby spinach, dill. Green herb dressing followed by pan fried sea bass with roast sweet potatoes and crispy capers - followed by the biggest piece of cheesecake I've ever seen - Oreo cookie cheesecake, peanut butter ice cream, salted caramel popcorn.  All washed down with water and lemongrass/ginger spritzer :)


 I am now home after another walk across the town to the station, a train journey and another 30/35 minutes walk home in the dark, which wasn't so pleasant, but OK.

Quiet evening with no more food planned!


(Oh and I've been asked to write an article for our Company 'Intranet' on our day.  I've already asked the others for their comments) :)
