Another Languedoc year...

Moving on

The new house is coming along slowly. We're still waiting for the floor to cure - until the first week of the New Year. Meanwhile the sliding shutters have gone up but aren't yet finished.

Today I spent the morning with a young man and a digger, landscaping The Sunken Lane that now runs along the front of the house. We've made some wonderful large flower beds to look down on from the sitting room and balconies.

Tomorrow we will plant a dozen more roses, three mahonias and a swathe of pansies. That'll be the last of the planting until next Spring. Last week I planted 300 more tulips using my whizzo new Sneeboer planter. I'm hoping the garden will really burst into life for 2013.

I call the bank in the foreground The Escarpment (all areas of my gardens get names). In the Spring we will sow kilos of wild flower seeds. It should be a real painting by June.
