Green Heron

After a sleep in and breakfast out, we had another wonderful outing at Indian River Preserve. As we approached the waterfront, we startled a Green Heron, so we were on the look out for where it settled. Now is a good time to let you all know that my sister-in-law is a professional birder, and she spotted this shy, cryptic skulker down a side creek. And here it is!
