Grey Day

We managed to get our walk in this morning before the rains came. All day it was grey and cold. And now it's also wet.

To the left of the fence is Oakfields - which we saw on a sunny day with blue sky last Wednesday. To the right of the fence is Edgefields. Both properties are really one property owned by the same woman. She bought Edgefields some years ago from the owner of a larger piece of property - which extends to the property right across the road from our driveway - who needed the cash and so sold her the edge of his property. Which means she owns almost all the land on the north side of Chapel Spring Lane, Edgefields (which holds the farm pond) and Oakfields. The remaining parcel - which one enters from across the street from our place - subsequently changed hands and is now owned by a couple who spend most of the year in California, but come here in the Spring and the Fall to enjoy our theoretical times of best weather.
