Meaning?

Despite the 02:30 finish I was heading down at 8am for breakfast. On one of the doors was the saying.

I think I get the gist but can’t immediately track down its origins.

Train more or less on time despite Sunday works detour via Perth so back home late lunchtime and the work started in clearing the upstairs rooms, sifting through mountains of papers and items and retaing only essential ones.
